A controlled pair is not a double tap. A double tap is an additional shot after the target is downed to ensure a fatal wound.
Two rounds center mass is a controlled pair, a 3rd shot to the head after the target is downed from the controlled pair would be considered a "double tap"
Meanwhile cops are out here magdumping
"centermass" shows shooting the groin area but still good to learn
The technique gained traction under the SAS. They found it took 2 x 9mm to stop a man rather than 1 x .45 , the 3rd shot was to the head due to the rise in the wearing of body armour.
