Tropical Storm Philippe over the Leeward Islands

Philippe is sweeping through the Leeward Islands today, but is a heavily disheveled tropical storm dealing with wind shear and dry air, and its center of circulation is exposed. The storm is passing close to Antigua and Barbuda, the latter under tropical storm warnings. Up to six inches of rain could fall on these islands, with swells and rip currents affecting the wider Lesser Antilles and stretching westwards to Puerto Rico.

Philippe is currently moving northwest, and will turn due north by Wednesday, and northeast on Thursday by Bermuda. Model consensus is very low for the late week, where Philippe could turn left or right towards or away from Atlantic Canada. Philippe should become a hurricane at least once along this track in the next five days.
