Amazing news - both my elderly parents have gotten BOTH their shots now and are both still being responsible by wearing their masks and distancing. But now they can start eating out (still limited), etc. which is AWESOME.

Got tested to be safe because I was experiencing symptoms. Negative result came in today and I'm really happy. :)

The increase was a result of thanksgiving, christmas, and new years. This is more of the baseline. The British variant will cause this to go back up. The number of deaths may go down while the number of cases go up just because of who has been vaccinated (long term care).

So, let's see if I can understand this: if you take the problem seriously, listen to the scientists, take common sense and decisive measures, and co-ordinate your response on track and trace, SH# actually gets done?!

This is good news, and I think part of that is that people are getting vaccinated (I will as soon as possible), but the other part is that we now have competent leadership addressing this now.
