Ten Day Forecast: Cooler Mid February Still Possible?

Hello everyone and thanks for tuning in to today's video. We're going to look at the weather for the next ten to fourteen days for this video. Day ten will take us to the thirteenth of February - and we'll be able to extend out beyond that with the extended GFS and ECM ensembles (they run to around a couple of weeks) - We'll have a look at CFS v2 up to the beginning of March at the end of the video...
Zonal weather will continue into next week and the weather will remain mild and Atlantic-driven. Looking ahead to the middle of February there are a few hints of something a little drier and colder from the north... could we have a mid-February cool down? Probably not but it still looks possible today...

With energy prices going up I say bring on spring. Hopefully will stay mild. Rather save money than see snow 🤘🤘

The Scottish mountains have had the most snowless January for 14 + years They need Atlantic storms and low pressures to get skiing under way so I am happy with this forecast as hopefully they can get skiing soon

It's a bit early to write off the whole of February. There probably will be some cold snaps, with snow, but they're unlikely to be long lived.

I think our downfall this winter is we never got rid of the azores high so much high pressure in to our south that its probably why we could not get that cold air further south so i think the set up here is all wrong for us but the north as always does better in this senario thanks gav

Saw some rain on the forecast for tomorrow and Sunday, bn a rarity in the south this winter. A lot drier than normal.

Thanks for the ten day forecast which takes us to Sunday, February 13th, 2022. Bring on the Azores high pressure, that will help to keep the energy bills low.

for me at least this is the most yawningly boring winter in living memory. I havent seen one single flake of snow and even with high pressure and a clear sky the frosts have been very mild. I remember harder frosts in late october in the days before the warming really got underway.
