Ghana is a country in West Africa, formally known as the Republic of Ghana. It shares borders with the Ivory Coast in the west, Burkina Faso in the north, and Togo in the east, and spans the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. Ghana, located in western Africa, is a massive country with enormous economic and social potential. While Ghana is classified as one of the world's least developed countries, it has one of Africa's fastest expanding economies. It is a low-income economy; GDP per capita in 1999 was US$1,900, based on purchasing power parity (which accounts for Ghana's low prices of many essential commodities). Because of the economic situation, Ghana has a lot of affection, love, and jealousy from Africans because of its economic viability, tremendous potential, and political might. I am Ghanaian. Whilst i appreciate some of the progress in the last 10 - 15 years, i think the title is inflammatory. We are all Africans and should not be competing with each other. We must not allow outsiders, including western corporations to set the standards for us or divide and conquer us. We are Africans first before being Ghanaians, Nigerians, cameroonian, ivorian, etc... We must unite and face the rest of the world as a bloc. This attempt to divide us and create false competitions between African nations should not be encouraged. Also rather than squabbling over which African nation will host twitter or a Nissan factory, we should be more concerned about developing local industries to serve Africans. Let's stop celebrating others' achievements and develop our own technology and industries rather than simply being content with consuming what others produce.

As Africans, we shouldn’t be jealous of one another. We need unity, peace, education, technologies, good road network, good governance, good medical facilities, and mechanized farming in our respective countries. We need each other more than never.

Nigerians are not in any way jealous of Ghana. On the contrary, we appreciate any positive developments taking place in Ghana. What we do in Nigeria is challenge ourselves when we see Ghana doing something good that we are not doing which is a good thing. I don't think that amount to Jealousy. Nigerians naturally love Ghanaians and never wish them any bad.

Ghana is a great country and a PEACEFUL place to be, from day one ☝️. Please stop 🛑 saying someone is jealous, and stop ✋ the comparisons and leave Ghana 🇬🇭 alone for the country to mind his or her own business. Today this tomorrow that, leave us to be. Ghanaian’s by nature are the most humble and respectful people and that’s the way it goes. And I think 🤔 other countries also have something similar, because we’re all come from the big Mother AFRICA!!
