Tongogara: The Final Days | A Zimbabwe Documentary

30/10/2026 · Upright Films

Descrição

Five days after the Lancaster House agreement was signed, Josiah Magama Tongogara died in Mozambique on 26 December 1979. This Upright Films documentary follows his life, the negotiations, contemporary diplomatic reports, later recollections and the transition he did not live to see.

The official contemporary account describes a road collision. Diplomatic cables are not forensic findings. Later suspicions and participant memories are attributed, not presented as proof of assassination or a named perpetrator. Non-graphic historical treatment.
