Storm Benjamin struck France on Thursday, October 23, 2025, with winds reaching 140 km/h in some areas. In Paris and Île-de-France, which were on yellow-orange alert by Météo France, eight departments in the Île-de-France region faced worsening weather conditions, with winds estimated at 85 to 100 km/h.

This Thursday, Depression Benjamin deepened over the English Channel and affected the entire region. In the capital and its surrounding areas, eight departments in the Île-de-France region (Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Essonne, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne, Val-d'Oise) were on yellow alert for strong winds. This weather phenomenon, dubbed a "weather bomb" by some meteorologists, affected almost all of France.
