Six riders remain... but not for long!

Welcome back to THE WILD WAY SOUTH — EPISODE THREE, as our epic three-day adventure through New South Wales continues!

With Captain Crash sidelined after his spectacular effort in Episode One, our newly appointed fearless leader Blacky is now in charge — and he's leading Camo, Davo, Marty, Alasdair and yours truly towards one of Australia's great historic gold-rush towns...

SOFALA!

And what a way to get there!

We follow the beautiful Turon River, blasting along fantastic trails under glorious blue skies — which is particularly amusing considering this entire ride was nearly CANCELLED because of the weather forecast!

And then there's my arm...

Now that I'm safely home and have undergone a few medical investigations, I've discovered that the little biceps injury I've been happily riding around with is actually an...

18 CENTIMETRE TEAR! 😳

Yes...

18 BLOODY CENTIMETRES!

Apparently most people couldn't achieve something this impressive because their biceps simply aren't big enough.

At least that's my interpretation of the medical report. 💪😂

After a well-earned stop in beautiful historic Sofala, young Marty says goodbye and heads off to visit a mate.

Six becomes five!

And Blacky has another cracking destination lined up...

HILL END!

Once one of Australia's great gold-rush boom towns, Hill End takes us straight back in time as we cruise through its historic streets and discover that, at its peak, the town had around 8,000 residents...

And 28 PUBS!

Apparently digging for gold is thirsty work!

From Hill End we begin the long journey back towards Portland, riding through spectacular countryside, cattle country and into Capertee, where we fuel the bikes before once again taking...

THE BACK WAY TO PORTLAND!

With the sun dropping, the temperature falling and another massive day of riding behind us, we eventually make it back to the Coronation Hotel.

Cold drinks...

Two-up...

Another magnificent steak...

And five very happy adventure riders!

But tomorrow is our FINAL DAY.

We're heading home.

And before The Wild Way South is finished...

ONE OF US IS GOING TO DO SOMETHING REALLY, REALLY STUPID.

One rider.

One adventure bike.

One gnarly trail.

And nobody else around to help.
