The Investigation Into the Florida Learjet Crash

On Sunday, 1 November 2026, a Learjet 60 fell from 35,000 feet onto a road in Palm Beach County, Florida, in just over a minute. All nine people on board were killed. This is the investigation so far: the nine people, the full Miami Center radio exchange in order, the dashcam that caught the last second, the NTSB's first briefing, and four earlier crashes whose final reports show investigators where to look.

As of Tuesday, 3 November 2026: the NTSB says it has some evidence the jet began to break apart before impact. A cockpit voice recorder was installed, maintenance records show; whether it was on board is not known. The cause has not been determined. The precedents in this film (Air France 447, Air Algérie 5017, Pinnacle Airlines 3701, AirAsia 8501) are told from their official final reports; none of them is a finding about Florida.
