Day ten will take us to 24th October and we'll be able to extend out beyond that with the extended GFS and ECM ensembles (they run to around a couple of weeks) We'll have a look at CFS V2 for the next four weeks, at the end of the video.

Another great video Gav. Rather interesting. Reminds me of October 2008 where it’ began quite warm but went colder towards the end and we had snow in the West Midlands.

Fair comment on the frequency of the 10-14 dayers. Arguably October (1987 aside) and the first half of November is often the least interesting part of the meteorological year in that temperatures are usually more predictable than during the equivalent period of the Spring - late March, April, when anything can happen. But we do have the winter forecasts instead.

Thanks Gav, great update as always. Good call on the UK Weather Forecast and glad you're carrying on with them, makes sense not to do them every day when the weather is quiet. If the CET carried on as it was it would be the joint warmest October along with 2001. My current prediction is it will come in between 11.6-12.2 °C All the best.
