Tauktae strengthening, significant impacts to continue for the next few days

Tauktae was named by the IMD around 21z today, and has continued to strengthen since it was named as expected. Now with winds of 65mph, it is likely this becomes a Category 1 on the SSHS scale within the next 12 hours. Rapid intensification into a Category 4 is likely, and we are currently projecting a Category 3 landfall somewhere between southeast Pakistan and northwestern India. Those there should be taking preparation measures while they can.

Cyclones which forms in Arabian Sea are very unstable and tends to change it course very often. So no models are correct until it's very close to the coast.
