SA, Mozambique to continue working together to ensure stability

President Cyril Ramaphosa says South Africa and Mozambique will continue to work together to ensure that there is stability following a wave of demonstrations in Maputo linked to disputed elections.

Ramaphosa has hosted his Mozambican counterpart President Daniel Chapo in Cape Town.

The visit seeks to strengthen political cooperation at the bilateral, regional, continental and global levels.

Mozambique recently experienced violent protests following the disputed polls.

President Ramaphosa says the two nations must work together to create a conducive environment for businesses to operate in both countries.

It’s estimated that South African companies have invested between R155 billion to R175 billion, creating more than 42,000 job opportunities.
