Rwanda threatens to withdraw troops from Mozambique

24/09/2026 · NTVUganda

Descrição

Rwanda’s Foreign Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe has declared that his country will withdraw her troops from Mozambique, unless sustainable funding is secured for their counter-terrorism mission. The statement directly ties the threat to what Kigali calls unfair treatment — including sanctions — by the very nations that have reaped the biggest benefits from Rwanda’s sacrifices. DANIEL KIBET has more in this report.

Rwanda has all the cards as far as Mozambique's security is concerned in northern province and Eu or whoever benefits will have to bow down to Rwanda and so whatever it wants. RDF deployed there and brought peace when sadc failed terribly in their own region.
