My stay at Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort in Mozambique

Truly amazing place... the people and it own island.
The best for me in this trip was to meet kids at the school... they are happiest kids I have ever met even though they don't have much... some have to wake up very early and walk to school for 3-4 hours. (School start at 7am) Except resort's car we using, there is no other vehicle on island. So, everybody travel by walking...
Sometimes..people who has less ...do have more.....

Anantara Resort was amazing, too. The view from the villa is just breath taking.... house keeping did a wonderful job cleaning and making beautiful decorations everyday at the bedroom and living room. All inclusive, drinks and food, minibar, house wine.. make sure you try local cuisine with Piri Piri chili.... I'm Thai, so I am very satisfied with the dishes.. 🌶

Lisbon. Santa Carolina (Paradise Island), Bazaruto, was many times my diving time until 1977 with friends from South Africa, Mozambique and South Rhodesia. Superb hotel, no air conditioned, very good food and good beers. Clear water and visibility. Now the hotel and air strip are kaput, a great pity. As I used to make uw pics as well as snorkelling I think the uw world is the same and well preserved still around Santa Carolina. I got many slides and digital shots from there.
