It's very hot today in Mozambique, in Africa, and as I arrive in Macia for my lunch break, I get assaulted by people demanding for pictures. It's definitely too much. I am exhausted by the heat, and as I can finally rest, I have a swarm of people demanding for pictures and videos. Mozambique is getting really difficult. I feel as if I were a weird animal that everyone want's to photograph. I had enough of this. After a well deserved meal, the afternoon is more quiet and peaceful, and after a long day on the road in Gaza, I finally arrive in Xai Xai, quite exhausted, but happy.

To explain briefly why I complain that much about the selfies in Mozambique. The people who harass me constantly along the way for videos and photos in Mozambique have mostly never seen any of my videos. They have seen the videos of other people who filmed me and posted their videos on Portuguese speaking social media and went viral. The people harassing me are not showing me love, they are willing to do anything to make a video with me so that they can also go viral. The irony is that this harassment is not even linked to the fact that I publish videos on social media. It's just pure thirst for potential virality.

In Mozambique, when people ask you to stop, just say 'Buka Buka!' This means 'I appreciate your friendliness, but I am on an urgent mission'. That is a kind way to explain why you have to keep moving.
