Mozambique Heli Tour 2026 (3rd day off) – Quad Bikes, Tofo & Beach Lif

Continuing our Mozambique Heli Tour 2026, we flew from Gorongosa National Park via Beira and Vilanculos to the Inhambane region. After landing with our three helicopters, the friendly crew from Sentidos Beach Retreat picked us up and brought us straight to their beautiful lodge, where we stayed for two nights and enjoyed dinner at their Paladar Restaurant.
On our third day off during this helicopter adventure, I started the morning with a swim in the warm Indian Ocean. The shallow water made diving a little difficult, but after running far enough out into the sea, I finally managed to get in a proper dive! 🌊
After a delicious breakfast, most of the group enjoyed some relaxing massage treatments before the fun part of the day began.
In the afternoon, we headed out on quad bikes with our guide from the SEE Activity Center. After a short introduction and some instructions on how to ride the bikes, we were soon on our way towards the small village of Tofo. 🏍️💨
Tofo Beach is well known as one of the great surfing spots in Mozambique. But rather than getting into the waves, we decided to explore the village, visit the local market and enjoy a drink at Casa na Praia Tofo. 🍹
Then the rain arrived – which actually made the quad-bike ride even more fun! We continued through the area and stopped for another drink at Kuma Lodge, followed by a third stop at Sunset Lodge.
After several hours of riding, exploring, laughing and enjoying a few drinks with friends, we safely made our way back to Sentidos Beach Retreat for dinner – and, of course, a few more drinks. 🍻
It was the perfect final day off: relaxing, having fun and enjoying Mozambique together with family and friends.
The following day, we flew back to South Africa, bringing our Mozambique Heli Tour 2026 to an end after an incredible journey through some of the most beautiful and remote parts of Mozambique. 🚁🇲🇿
