I explored Monterrey Mexico and think this must be my favorite part of the city. This riverwalk stretches over 2 kilometers through the city and is a beautiful and serene place to walk and enjoy!

Luke! Welcome to Monterrey! As a local from here, I recommend you try cabrito and the beef jerky from here, we are known nation-wide for it. Also because of the Mountains we are known for having great nature and hikes! Try and do some, the easiest and friendliest one if you have no guide is the one in Chipinque. There are plenty of signs and pathways based on difficulty. You have many great sights. Also if you ever get a chance, go to carretera nacional where there are many local shops, full of local food sellers and artisan items. You can get the typicall corn bread and aguamiel which is made from cane juice (you can also buy a piece of cane and munch on it!). Thats what I grew up on. Hope you have a great trip! Lastly, check out the sights in La Huasteca, its very beautiful, there are bat caves, hiking spots and a nice car trip just to enjoy nature. Warning, dont go to deep! Once you reach the big dam structure, dont go deeper, its just dirt and some cars get stuck in there if too heavy or not well equipped.
