Sailing out and away from land in search of the Great Barrier Reef has been playing on our minds for weeks as we have island-hopped around the Whitsundays waiting for the right weather window.

This week as chance would have it, we have all washed up on the same beach. After losing our fellow sailing mates somewhere along the way, the crews finally back together again. We dive the reef, climb the mountains and hang on each other's boats all before waking at an ungodly hour to take advantage of a weather window to head out to the outer reef. It feels good to gain some distance from land but our decisions become a little unstuck when the tide and sun work against us...we have to come up with a plan B...

Stuffed squidly,strip out the hood of squid,take the skin off,make up a chicken mince or fish mix with egg and small amount of breadcrumbs as a binding agent,garlic coriander salt pepper to taste,stuff squidly,toothpick end closed,pan fry in olive oil a minute or two each side to put some colour on them then bake in oven about ten mins.

Apparently there is a huge coral spawn on the reefs at the moment,that would be epic to see.cheers for the video guys,safe sailing.

Another fun episode guys. Bush walking, meeting up with friends, a bit of sailing, and trepidation out on the reef which I'm sure will be rewarded in next weeks episode. Only thing missing was a bit of tedious boat work. CHEERS
