As a Filipino kid I always thought avocado was only combined with milk and sugar so imagine my surprise when I was growing up and found out it was used for toasts and guacamole etc

we have avocado ice cream here in the Philippines. and thats just the begining of it. as a filipino when i was a teen, i was actually amazed that other countries used it in savory dishes and not a dessert.

As an African, I was so happy that you not only included two African recipes, but also learnt a little more about our continent. This is why I love cultural exchange, and think that the label of cultural appropriation sometimes misses that cultures have been exchanged for centuries, and that's ok.
