Youmul Hajj or Arafat Day will be on May 26, 2026.

What is the Day of 'Arafah? The Day of 'Arafah is on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah and is one of the most important days in the Islamic calendar. It was on this day that Allah (SWT) perfected His religion, completed His favours upon His beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and approved Islam as a way of life!

Mount Arafat, also known as the "Mountain of Mercy" (Jabal ar-Rahmah), is a granite hill located about 20 kilometers southeast of Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Adam and Eve: According to Islamic tradition, it is the sacred site where Prophet Adam and Eve were reunited after being separated for 200 years following their descent to Earth, and where they were forgiven by God.

The Day of Arafat: During the annual Hajj pilgrimage, the 9th day of the Islamic month of Dhul-Hijjah is known as the Day of Arafat. Millions of pilgrims gather on the plain of Arafat from noon until sunset to pray, repent, and seek God’s mercy, making this the absolute spiritual apex of the Hajj.

At dawn of this day, Muslim pilgrims make their way from Mina to a nearby hillside and plain called Mount Arafat and the Plain of Arafat in Saudi Arabia. It was from this site that the Islamic prophet Muhammad gave one of his last sermons in the last year of his life.
