But not every Burmese ruby is exceptional. Right now, fully included stones with open surface cracks are coming to market at extreme prices purely on the strength of the origin label. That is not an investment. A clean, open red Mozambique in the right quality will always beat a low-quality Burmese pigeon blood. Origin is not everything. Every criterion has to be met.
