Afternoon Sun Today, Slightly Cooler

We are clearing out right on schedule as we check out our visible satellite imagery. You may recall that earlier this morning we were pretty well socked in with cloud cover here in the Portland, Vancouver metro area. Those clouds extended all the way down to northern Marion County, but now as we're into the noon hour, clouds quickly being eroded on all sides here, and I think if you're not clear yet, you will be eventually. As we go into this afternoon, case in point, the springs at the waterfront, lots of blue sky out there. Currently 69 degrees at Pearson Airfield, and as we go into the lunch hour, 70s prevalent here in Beaverton, Hillsborough, and Forest Grove, Wilsonville checking in with 70, uh, where there's been a little bit more sunshine, it's a bit warmer. Dallas right now checking in with 76, uh, McMinnville, Salem, Albany all at 74 degrees right now. So the plan turning mostly sunny or full sunshine expected later this afternoon. I've got Portland topping out at 79, so just a smidge cooler than yesterday, but still a good looking finish to our Wednesday. And as we roll on through the 70 forecast, no changes here, high and dry. For this week in July anyway, so 81 tomorrow, 82 on Friday. Saturday could be another day where we wake up to some fairly thick morning cloud cover. It takes a while to burn off, but afterwards, again, a dry forecast and quite warm as we go into next weekend.
