Second most important investment is the partner, so be ready to sacrifice everything for the right partner. Third most important investment is you. A firm mattress suited me when young, paid £300 and it lasted ten years. Then after being diagnose with Fibromyalgia and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome ( my joints dislocate at any given time and sometime while I sleep) a firm mattress wasn't helping. So I went to Dreams and bought a Theri -pur mattress and it is the best mattress I have ever slept on. It wasn't cheap yet it was worth every penny, especially because my night time hip dislocations are now more or less non existance. Sleeping with a memory foam pillow between you knees helps too.
