Zimbabwean government exhumes bodies of 31 cyclone Idai victims in Mozambique
Descrição
Zimbabwean authorities have exhumed 31 bodies in neighbouring Mozambique of people who were washed away by Cyclone Idai in 2019. The cyclone devastated parts of Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe. In Zimbabwe, the storm, subsequent flooding and landslides left more than 600 people dead and 347 missing. It also caused damage to infrastructure and community livelihoods. The Zimbabwean government says that it's now embarking on an exhumation and reburial process for some of the victims who were not properly buried during the disaster.
