Why Is There an AK-47 on Mozambique's Flag? (Mozambique Flag Meaning)
Descrição
Why is there an AK-47 on Mozambique's flag? It is the only national flag in the world with a modern rifle on it, and the reason goes back to 1964.
Every part of the flag means something: the star, the book, the hoe and the rifle with its bayonet. In 2005 the country's parliament even voted on whether the rifle should stay. And Mozambique is not the only country that put a Kalashnikov on its national symbols.
Watch to the end for the bonus: three coats of arms that still carry it.
