Rain changed to heavy snow around 9 pm on December 22 and continued until just before 4 am on the 23rd. The NWS says blizzard criteria were met at the CVG airport. The temperature fell 39 degrees in 6 hours and 52 degrees in 12 hours, both were a record. At noon on the 23rd, the temperature was -6, which was the coldest noon temperature since January 19, 1994.

It was a fantastic experience to see that 50 degree swing. We actually got colder and more snow than forecasted for around Warren County. My brother had -11°F in Greene County.
