UK Weather Forecast: Most Places Dry But Heavy Showers In The South East (Friday 31st May 2024)

Good morning everyone and welcome to todays UK weather forecast on Friday 31st May 2024.

Current Situation: Low pressure is moving away to the east with high pressure building in from the west...

Today:

Friday starts mostly dry but there are some heavy showers across East Anglia and the east coast Lincolnshire.

Through the day heavy showers will drift southwards from East Anglia into the south east corner before clearing away into the English channel. Most places will have a dry day with sunny spells and variable cloud. Temperatures will be cool in the east at just 13C to 15C but warmer in the west at 17C to 20C.

Tonight:

The whole country will become dry with clear spells and variable cloud. It will be a slightly cooler night with temperatures of 7C to 13C.

Tomorrow:

Mainly dry with sunny spells and variable cloud. The chance of one or two light showers across Wales and the Midlands. Warmer in the east with temperatures ranging from 15C to 21C.

Outlook:

Sunday: Patchy rain for western Scotland but mostly dry elsewhere. Warm in the south and east.

Monday: A band of cloud and drizzle moving southwards followed by sunshine. Warm.

Tuesday: Light rain moving southwards followed by sunshine and showers. Warm in the south east but much cooler further north.
