Tropical Storm Bret sweeping across the Lesser Antilles - June 23, 2023
Descrição
Tropical Storm Bret has capitulated quite spectacularly in the last few hours, but we must impress that it is still a substantial threat to the Lesser Antilles, which it is currently in the process of crossing. St Lucia is likely to be the most affected island, where rainfall of up to 8 inches (200mm) is expected along with strong winds gusting near hurricane force. Neighboring islands will also experience inclement weather, extending as far as Barbados and Guadeloupe.
Bret will gradually dissolve as it continues into the Caribbean, where conditions are hostile. The remnants should be traceable until it plunges into Nicaragua and Honduras next week.
Behind Bret, Tropical Depression Four is likely to become a short-lived named storm as it moves northwest, and should avoid the Leeward Islands. There is a chance that the storm could redevelop near Bermuda next week.
Chances are increasing for new tropical cyclones in the Eastern and Western Pacific basins, with next week looking favourable for activity near Mexico and the Philippines.

Day 23 of the Atlantic season? Didn't they change it to start on May 15th?

For an El Nino year the EPAC is slow. Reminds me almost of 2004 (Modoki El Nino where unfavorable conditions developed in the EPAC unlike the Atlantic) i mean there is wind shear in the NATL rn but the activity is similar
