Although Guambe is expected to stay about 100 km (62 miles) off the coast of Mozambique, significant impacts are expected in southern Mozambique on Friday and Saturday, February 19 and 20, 2021, between Inhambane and Xai-Xai. Heavy rains that can reach and locally exceed 150 mm (5.9 inches) in 24 hours are possible in these areas.
