I live in New Zealand... we have had 3 major subtropical storms in the country this year even though we aren't suppose to get them at all this far south. Usually in summer everything dries out and the grass goes brown in the part of the country I'm in at least but this year everything has still been green and if anything the crops have been damaged by too much rain.

I've seen three storms in the Pacific at the same time before, but they were all in the North. That this storm had a Southern 'twin' is really interesting.
