THIS is why Marcus Miller is a GENIUS! 🔥
Descrição
The acute sense of time and feel evident in Marcus Miller’s muscular bass lines is unmistakable. “My sound is the result of being in New York and just doing session after session after session,” he tells us. “It was a real business and you had to get in there, read that chart, and get out!’”

The bassist makes the music, not the bass. This bit of common sense is so easy to forget.

Like the saying goes “Beware of the man who owns one gun because he knows how to use it.” Or in this case, using one bass. Couldn’t agree more with this man.

I use cobalt flats on my Ibanez sound gear and that gives me the best of both worlds. I can still pop and slap and have that high end present but I can also palm-mute and play with my thumb or pick up get that old school sound. The tone nob is super important and I’ll roll it off or boost it depending on what I need.
