These Tornadoes Almost Took My Life
Descrição
Over the last 16 years, I’ve chased hundreds of tornadoes across the plains. While safety is always the priority, storm chasing is unpredictable. In this video, I’m sharing my Top 5 Scariest Tornado Encounters, featuring intense footage and behind-the-scenes stories.
Huge thank you to @ReedTimmerWx , @tornadotrx , @johnmckinneywx & @alexreselwx for allowing me to use their footage.

I will always and forever remember the time Freddy put his life at risk and saved a family of 4 and their dog from an ef3 that destroyed their house

A lot of people think tornadoes are photogenic tubes. They don’t realize they can be pure nightmare fuel. Great video man

Let's focus on staying back a little this year please.

Nobody mentioned the absolute aura and swag your dad had. Man kept his composure, and then decided to face the tornado and drive backwards from it. Man's got enough for everyone.

I cannot imagine how terrifying it is to have to leave someone in a area where you don’t know if they’ll make it but having to leave to make sure you survive

You save people's lives, Freddy. All of you real Storm Chasers save lives every time you go out. Not to mention when you go search and rescue. Besides the family in Enderlin, there was the Lambert family in Texas. You really made the difference in their lives that day. Never doubt yourself. You are where you are for a reason. Thank you.

I didn't catch the video with you and your dad before. Saying "get the video on it" while actively being in a life or death situation is one of the most dad things ever lmao

Damn Freddy, I don't envy the position you were in during the last instance. I do think you made the right decision in an extremely difficult circumstance. I can't imagine how hard it was for you to make that call, especially with his wife in your backseat. I think you should take comfort in the fact that the man you left probably wanted to protect his wife above all else, and you provided him that service when you knew it was too dangerous to stay. Survival instinct isn't selfish. I don't know how well you've processed this incident, but I would highly encourage you to schedule a therapy session to at least go over your experience. Trauma is deadlier than tornadoes.
