Descrição

In June 1944, 72 hours before the D-Day landings, Allied chief meteorologist Colonel Stagg was urgently summoned to headquarters. His desk was buried in data from weather monitoring stations along the English Channel—balloons, barometers, and scattered readings from reconnaissance aircraft and ships. With no satellites or supercomputers, he could only rely on hand-drawn isobaric charts to track the movement of cyclones.
Under immense pressure from senior commanders who wanted to proceed with the original June 5 plan, Stagg concluded from the data that a severe storm was approaching—June 5 would be "very bad". At the next day's military conference, he stood firm: the weather was "truly awful"—waves over 3 meters high, visibility only a few hundred meters. This ultimately convinced Eisenhower to postpone the invasion.

Monty? That's Dick Winters, doing anything but inspecting the latrines at Curahee. Also, "How poor?" Lad Con O'Neill amously portrayed Monty in SAS Rogue Heroes. How poor does an rbmk reactor explodes?
