This was the storm that we had to go to the basement for the first time, Being in Northern Illinois, I actually watched your stream IN the basement to see where this storm was at, it was crazy. The amount of Tornados we've had in the past like 2-3 months have been INSANE. And now today, Monday we are supposed to have another BIG storm, but its mainly gonna be around Southern Illinois so I don't doubt you'll be up here chasing (maybe) but I know all of Illinois is to watch out for tornados.

My daughter is only 6 years old and she is obsessed with weather. She asks every day if I can show her pictures of hurricanes, tornados and tsunamis. When it rains or there's angry clouds we have to go outside immediately so she can watch. We started watching your videos together and she loves learning about storms! Your videos are educational and great!!

15:35 My home is actually just above the tornado track in the lower left just right of the road in the 1st clearing above the trees. It ripped part of our garage roof off and flattened those 60 acres of trees on this map which were only about 20 feet from my bedroom. Thank you Freddy and Ryan! You were both vital to our knowing what was happening and what to do that night.

I'm an amateur hobbyist chaser with 4 years experience. I met Freddy a few years ago, and have watched some of the insane intercepts he's made. I never expected to actually run into a monster like this. My experience on the 10th was rough, and the first chase that really scared me. It was a very dangerous storm. I managed to stay on that cell for 4-5 hours. During the time between Pontiac and Kankakee, my main cue that this storm wasn't over was being in the inflow region in the forward part of the storm. I could see the temps on my own thermometer, watching as I travelled through different areas of the storm, and they remained warm and moist, with winds out of the south. That told me enough to make my decision to stay on it. I'm glad I did. That storm was by far the scariest experience I've had chasing so far. I didn't get nearly as close as you did Freddy, I first got up close just after the Kankakee river, right around the 7:20 mark in the video. Soon after, I got about mile away as it went through Aroma Park, I heard the roar and saw the wall cloud ripping around at high speed. As a chaser, you just know what's happening in there and it's the worst feeling. I'm glad the damage wasn't worse than it was.
