You asked for it, so here it is...Our list of Pros and Cons for Starlink. We have been using it for 3 months now: Pros: 1. Internet is fast - Starlink internet is faster than traditional satellite internet 2. Unlimited data usage - You can use as much as you want 3. Good coverage - It works at VERY remote areas, even where we had no phone reception! 4. No hidden cancellation fees - You can cancel the service whenever you want and reconnect when you need 5. Easy to install - You just need to plug the router in a power point and the dish to the router Cons: 1. It’s a bit expensive - We paid $450 for the unit and now pay a monthly fee of $170 2. Starlink Requires A Clear View Of The Sky - If you are in an area with lots of trees or buildings, the internet will most likely be patchy. 3. It draws a lot of power - We didn’t know about this when we purchased it. Be careful as it can suck the battery’s down quick. Let us know if you have any questions! #vanlife #vanlifetips #starlink

We go into the other ways we used to get internet which all work perfectly when reception is available. This is when Star link comes in, check out the video here https://youtu.be/mN1hwLYkkH4

Have StarLink at my home, plus one for my RV. I am soooo impressed. Way better than old cable service. 100% dependable, monthly fees are same as old but I never ever lose service. I highly recommend, cut the cable cord.

I bought reconditioned equipment and it showed up and I could not tell that it was not brand new.

I live in N. Calif, only 20 miles from the border with Oregon. Problem is - the only way to get there is to drive 50 miles east on Hwy CA-96, then north on I-5 to Ashland, OR, or Medford, or Grant's Pass. Starlink now has a "lite" version for only $80 per month, and out here (virtually all alone), I can run Speed Test and get up to 400 Mbps.

Here in Costa Rica I bought the standard kit for $400 and I’m paying almost $50 a month and the speed is always around 200 to 300Mbps with unlimited data. I guess some countries have different prices🤔

Wait I live in the mountains with trees, however there are near by sat post with can amplify. Will star link reroute through them such as Verizon and att network or does it claim only direct satellite connection
