In northern Mozambique, attacks by fighters from the armed group Al Shabab have surged in recent weeks. Aid agencies say more than 50,000 people have been displaced since July.

Al Jazeera’s Haru Mutasa reports from one of the camps in Cabo Delgado province, where families have sought refuge, often walking for days to get there.

The natural gas is one the main attractions. Insecurity is the best tactic to acquire this gas at throw away prices. I don't think alshabab came with extractions equipment. I say Turkey has a hand in it
