Northeast Ohio weather forecast: Tale of two seasons with showers and storms

Your 5 p.m. Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Feb. 16, 2023: Northeast Ohio, start your engines! It now appears the kiss of spring yesterday, is all but a distant memory..for many, but not all.

The axis of seasons carves a path across our area with warmer conditions south and colder weather lakeside. This area of low pressure is expected to bring periods of moderate rain with some periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms possible. We remain under cloud cover for the most part with a few breaks possible this afternoon.

A ridge remains persistent even in the early afternoon Thursday with the eastern half of the country warm and the west coast experiencing temperatures colder than even Cleveland, i.e. Las Vegas.
