Mozambique’s opposition leader Venancio Mondlane has called for "crippling protests" this week in the country over the contested October 9 elections that were won by the ruling Frelimo party. Mondlane said that from Wednesday to Friday, protesters across the country were going to paralyse all the activities in the country. Mozambique has been rocked by violence ever since the results declared Frelimo’s Daniel Chapo winner. The opposition had called the elections rigged and launched nationwide protests. The protests have been met with severe backlash from the government, who have also threatened to use the military if necessary. With a fresh round of protests lined up in Mozambique, will the government hear the demands of the opposition? Watch the video for more details.
