Descrição

Pink Monster Ship Emerges in Rotterdam - Sustainable Innovations Onboard.

Embark on an extraordinary journey as you witness the arrival of the pink-colored Japanese container ship, ONE Innovation, during its maiden trip to the port of Rotterdam. This colossal 400-meter-long monster ship, adorned with magenta-colored containers, aims to draw attention to the sustainable innovations implemented onboard.

ONE Innovation, the first vessel in a series of Megamax ships commissioned by the Ocean Network Express (ONE), has a remarkable capacity to transport approximately 24,000 shipping containers. By incorporating modifications to its hull, such as a bow wind deflector, the ship operates in a more sustainable manner, requiring less fuel consumption.
Additionally, a state-of-the-art exhaust gas cleaning system has been designed to comply with the IMO's emission regulations. Witness how ONE is spearheading innovation in global logistics, contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050.

The choice of a pink color scheme for the ship is a deliberate homage to the Japanese tradition of Hanami Matsuri, symbolizing happiness and ushering in a prosperous period.

Fun fact. This vessel can carry 24,000 TEU - Twenty foot equivalent units or 12,000 FEU - Forty foot equivalent units. If you were to place these 12,000 Containers of 40ft length, in one single line , the line would be 90.9 miles long.
