Nsanje district, after cyclone Freddy, is an island now. The concern of government and other well wishing organizations is Concentrated and focused on cyclone Freddy victims, however the situation with everyone is not good as business people have raised the costs of commodities more than necessary, for example 25 kg bag has gone up to K37,000 and one can hardly find maize flour in shops. Our ministry of trade have never seen it regulating prices and those who raise prices unnecessary are not punished by the law. Everyone in Nsanje needs to be assisted based on level of assistance and category of people but most importantly the government should make sure that the supply chain of goods should be made available as soon as possible by make the road from Blantyre to Nsanje passable.

African governments must send aid to Malawi. Where are helicopters for rescue missions. This needs swift response. I'm sure people are ready to do crowd funding but they need an authentic coordinated response from Malawi with authentic bank account details, not just having fundraising accounts from suspicious corners. It must be a legitimate government account, people will donate certainly. There's a reason for this, however it is up to Malawi people to figure out what it is.
