Malawi has no sea. So how does its fertilizer get to the farm?

Descrição

Malawi is landlocked. Its fertilizer comes in by ship to a port next door, then travels inland by truck or train. Every border and every kilometre adds cost, so the same bag costs more inland.

Ports used for Malawi's imports: Beira and Nacala (Mozambique), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania). Routes in the video are simplified.
