10/10/2026 · Force Thirteen

Descrição

Cyclone Idai has continued to intensify today and is now a strong Category 3 storm on the Saffir Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale, with further intensification possible tonight and tomorrow as it continues to edge across the Mozambique Channel.
The confirmed death toll from the precursor to the storm has continued to rise, now up to 30 in Malawi and 10 in Mozambique, with 377 injured.
Worse could still be yet to come for these two countries in particular, with the storm expected to make landfall in central Mozambique on Friday, and moving inland before stalling and turning back over the Mozambique Channel by next week.

Thank you. First decent coverage I've seen. I'm in Durban, South Africa, rains and floods causing damage, displacing people, but compared to what our Northern brothers are experiencing this is probably more like a drizzle. Thoughts are with you, take care out there!
