Hurricane Lorenzo Changes Course Cruise Ships May Have To Bug Out Of UK Area For Next 3 Days Hurricane Lorenzo has altered it's course and it is now expected to hit Ireland and the UK in the next 24 hours with hurricane force winds. After crossing the English Channel, the storm will run into the continent of Europe with heavy rains and strong tropical force winds. Damage is expected to be severe with power outages expected. Cruise ships from Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Cunard, Celebrity and even the new Norwegian Encore will need to heed this storm. The port of Southampton maybe closed in the next 24 hours along with other UK and European ports at the winds and waves will be too strong for safe operation. Airports accross the UK may also be affected and could face shut downs. This could impact many cruise passengers coming into and attempting to leave the UK and surrounding area in the coming days. #hurricanelorenzo #royalcaribbean #celebrity
