Hurricane Isaias, Rachel Devastating Florida! Giant Waves, Wind Hammers California
In Destin, the point of landfall, residents reported a hellish night of howling winds and heavy, sideways rain that stripped the facades off beachfront condominiums and seafood shacks. Further west, Pensacola and Milton suffered catastrophic structural damage. In Milton, the storm ripped entire roofs off apartment complexes, exposing bedrooms completely to the torrential downpours.Power infrastructure in Northwest Florida has been crushed. At the peak of the storm, 438,000 customers were without electricity in Florida alone. While located east of the direct eye, Panama City Beach experienced a historic marine event. The storm pushed a wall of water out of the Gulf, recording its second-highest storm surge in history at 5.60 feet above the average high tide. Alabama has also reported two fatalities. One individual in Birmingham died when a falling tree crushed a residential structure. The second death occurred in Barbour County, where an automobile collided with a downed tree blocking a dark highway. Even first responders were not spared; a local county sheriff suffered severe injuries when a tree fell on his cruiser while he was actively responding to an emergency call. Over 287,000 Alabamians lost power. The hardest-hit zone in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area remains the Long Beach Peninsula and the adjacent community of Belmont Shore. This low-lying strip of high-value real estate is uniquely vulnerable due to its geography, and the ocean has aggressively claimed territory. Further north, waves have repeatedly overtopped the sand at Zuma Beach and La Costa, throwing heavy rocks, sand, and ocean debris directly onto the travel lanes of the Pacific Coast Highway. The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has instituted intermittent closures of the right lane in both directions as heavy loaders work to clear the roadway. Orange County's low-lying coastal plains and extensive harbor networks are facing severe street-level inundation, leading to significant economic disruptions. The City of Newport Beach officially declared a Local State of Emergency after extreme high tides completely overwhelmed the municipal storm drain systems. In Huntington Beach, the area surrounding the historic pier experienced significant overwash. The public pier has been closed indefinitely after a massive rogue wave shook the structure, prompting safety inspections of the support pylons. In Seal Beach, the ocean overtopped the wide sandy beach, filling the parking lots and creeping toward the commercial district on Main Street. In Mission Beach, the iconic oceanfront boardwalk was battered by waves carrying heavy cobblestones, which shattered glass railings and tore up concrete pathways. The historic Ventura Pier sustained notable damage when heavy surf tore away several structural wooden pilings near the midsection.

いま世界中でこのような異常気象による大災害が頻発している状況下で、地球温暖化問題などの国際会合を無視し続け独自のバカげた主張を繰り返すトランプだ米国民から弾劾されることを願っている!
