Heavy rains expected across South Africa

South Africans should brace themselves for a wet weekend as rainfall is predicted for most parts of the country. The heavy rain comes in the wake of Tropical Depression Ex-Dineo after it moved though South Africa after wreaking havoc in Mozambique. Motorists traveling on the R71 road between Polokwane and Tzaneen in Limpopo have been warned to drive with caution. Trees have been uprooted due to heavy rains accompanied by wind in Magoebaskloof. Schools have been closed today in some areas in Mopani and Vhembe Districts in Limpopo due to heavy rains. Meanwhile, At least seven people have been killed by Tropical Storm Dineo in the Inhambane province of Mozambique.
