One of the heavily affected areas was Rossiyskaya Street, where a landslide was intensified due to the continuous downpour and waterlogged soil. In addition to the landslides, a mudflow was reported on the Dagomys – Mamaika railway section, leading to disruptions in train traffic as only one track remains operational. The mudflow was triggered by prolonged heavy rainfall and saturation of the soil, exacerbating the landslide processes in the area, as stated by the Sochi mayor's office.
