He Tried to Rob Me in Mozambique (Caught on Camera) 🇲🇿 vA88-S2
Descrição
After a long editing break I took outside of Mozambique in order to renew my visa for Mozambique, I am back in Vilanculos, in Africa.
Bad luck, the only company that flies to Vilanculos from abroad, Airlink, has the bad habit to fly its passengers without their bag. Because of that, I find myself without the basic necessities. To solve my problem, I decide to go to the market of Vilanculos to buy at least a toothbrush while I wait for my checked-in bag, and maybe also find some street food. First, the people are very friendly, but I quickly find a guy who absolutely wants to go around with me. After following him a little bit, I decide to decline his assistance. Vilanculos is a very touristic place, yet the people seem to hate the camera at this market. Then I find another guy who wants to become an intermediary to overcharge me for whatever I wish to buy. I go away from him and a woman starts shouting at me because I am filming. It's getting completely crazy! A few seconds later, the first scammer I met comes back to shouting at me. After a very heated argument, he tries to steal my camera. After the skirmish, the people of the market start to defend me and protect me from the scammer. They are okay with me filming. I can finally buy a toothbrush, but what a crazy adventure just to try to buy a toothbrush with a camera in the market of the main tourist hub in Mozambique.

Yves you advertise the places you go to freely so when generosity is extended in return, take it and enjoy it. You have earned it along the way. Take care and be safe. South Africa misses you on her roads.

Thank you for beatifull videos, Yves. Stay safe! A sad and dangerous experience. The locals themselves ought to ensure that such a person doesn't cause trouble at the market. They need money from tourists, yet an individual like that ensures that hundreds (at the very least) of potential tourist-customers will never visit this market. After all, hundreds of thousands of people will see a video like this and share the experience with just as many others... And so, they bring own beggary upon themselves.
