Extreme Roads: 28 Hours to Travel Just 260 KM in Chad

In Chad, one of Africa’s toughest road networks becomes an almost impossible challenge when torrential rains transform the Sahara and surrounding regions into flooded landscapes.
With 18 of the country's 23 provinces affected by flooding, roads disappear beneath the water, bridges become impassable, and entire communities struggle to receive essential supplies. From overloaded trucks battling muddy tracks to drivers attempting dangerous river crossings, every journey becomes a test of endurance.
Follow Abdel and his 13-year-old son Hassan as they deliver a desperately needed boat, alongside truck drivers, traders and passengers determined to keep moving despite breakdowns, powerful currents and extreme conditions. On one journey, travelling just 260 kilometers takes 28 hours.
An immersive documentary revealing the extraordinary resilience, ingenuity and daily struggles of people trying to survive on Chad's flooded roads.
