Eloise Targets Madagascar, Strong Winds and Heavy Rain Likely

Tropical Cyclone Eloise is approaching Madagascar. It is likely to strengthen some before making landfall, with a 65-70mph landfall currently being predicted. Not only will strong winds be a threat, but heavy rainfall up to and over 450mm is likely in portions of Madagascar. After this storm traverses the island it is likely to strengthen in the Mozambique Channel.

My predictions Eloise:95-high end cat 1-Stage 6 low chance of becoming a cat 1 but a. High end TS Joshua: 45 Tropical depression Kimi: SSHWS: 80 mph Stage 3 Australian region: Cat 3 SSHWS: Cat 1 Eloise will be a Cat 1 near land and then make landfall

Moderate Tropical Storm Eloise Forecast 1 - ~1700 UTC January 17th, 2021 Please seek official information at the RSMC La Reunion or Joint Typhoon Warning Center Peak winds: 65 mph Tropical Storm Eloise recently has formed east of Madagascar. Movement will most likely be westsouthwestward while it steadily strengthens. As the 20th begins in UTC, a landfall is likely with winds around 60 mph. Upon landfall, Eloise will rapidly weaken, however, it will emerge into the Mozambique channel and re-strengthen. Rainfall in Madagascar likely will be several inches. The highest rainfall totals will likely be in the northern part of the island of Madagascar.
