Drier conditions loom over South Africa and Mozambique due to El Niño
Descrição
Drier conditions and an increased risk of drought across the southern part of the region, particularly South Africa, southern and central Mozambique, are expected to persist due to the weather pattern known as El Nino. That's the warning from the World Meteorological Organisation. It says this will increase risks to agriculture, water resources, food security and livelihoods. All of us 30 something year old folks have known this was all coming since we were children and we saw it turned into a political wedge and mocked. We are not surprised. If anyone is surprised by this they just haven't been paying attention.
